Who runs this site

cloudmigration.blog is the personal technical blog of Attila Macskasy, self-hosted on the ATAILA platform in the European Union. For anything related to your data, contact: the contact form or attila@macskasy.com.

What this site does not do

  • No advertising, no ad networks, no cross-site tracking.
  • No marketing cookies and no cookie banners — because there is nothing to consent to.
  • No accounts, no logins, no newsletters, no prize draws.
  • No sharing or selling of personal data to third parties.

Analytics

This site measures traffic with a self-hosted Plausible Analytics instance running on the same platform as the site itself. Plausible is a privacy-friendly, cookie-less analytics tool: it stores aggregate counts (page views, referrers, country derived from IP, browser family) and does not build visitor profiles. Raw IP addresses are not stored. No analytics data leaves our own infrastructure.

The contact form

If you send a message through the contact form, the data you enter (name, email address, message) is stored so your message can be answered, and for no other purpose. The legal basis is your consent, given by ticking the box before sending. You can withdraw it — and have your message deleted — at any time by writing to the address above. Form submissions are protected by a self-hosted proof-of-work check (Altcha); no third-party CAPTCHA service is involved.

Embedded videos

Some articles embed YouTube videos. The embed loads as a static preview image; YouTube (Google LLC) only receives a request — and can only set cookies — after you click play. From that point YouTube's own privacy policy applies.

Server logs

Like practically every web server, the infrastructure serving this site keeps short-lived technical access logs (IP address, requested URL, timestamp, user agent) for security and operations. They are rotated automatically and are not used for profiling.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Hungary: NAIH, naih.hu). Given how little this site processes, the fastest route is simply to write to the contact address above.
